2023年5月23-25日，由中国结构完整性联盟（China Structural Integrity Consortium, CSIC）和英国结构完整性联盟（UK Forum for Engineering Structural Integrity, FESI）共同举办的2023年国际结构完整性学术研讨会和第十七届工程结构完整性评定国际会议（2023 International Symposium on Structural Integrity and 17th International Conference on Engineering Structural Integrity Assessment, ISSI2023-ESIA17）在英国曼彻斯特成功举行。中国结构完整性联盟组织60名成员组成的代表团与来自英国、法国、日本、意大利、澳大利亚、新加坡、加拿大、德国、挪威、西班牙等国家的代表共计192人参加会议。

会议开幕式上，大会组委会主席Bo Chen教授、英国结构完整性联盟主席Peter Flewitt院士和中国结构完整性联盟主席、ok138cn太阳集团古天乐涂善东院士分别致辞，表达了对各位参会代表的欢迎和感谢。会议期间，共有9名国际结构完整性领域的知名专家做主旨报告，包括英国原子能管理局 Amanda Quadling博士的报告“Materials challenges and early solutions towards engineered structural integrity in magnetic confinement fusion devices”，浙江大学郑津洋院士的报告“Hydrogen facilities and safety”，西南交通大学张卫华教授的报告“Theory, experiment, and application on the safety improvement of high-speed trains”，英国布里斯托大学Janice Barton教授的报告“Structural integrity assessment 4.0: the pathway to validated virtual testing of composite structures”，ok138cn太阳集团古天乐陈浩峰教授的报告“Performance, life and safety of lithium-ion batteries under multi-scale mechanical damages and failures”，英国Jacobs公司Andrew Wisbey博士的报告“Future role of structural integrity testing facilities”，中国海洋大学崔洪芝教授的报告“Design of wear and corrosion resistant material and high energy beam surface strengthening”，英国牛津大学Alexander Korsunsky教授的报告“Hierarchical-statistical approach to the analysis of strain and residual stress effects in structural integrity”，英国南安普顿大学Philippa Reed教授的报告“Crack growth arrest mechanisms during oxidation-fatigue in additively manufactured and directionally solidified nickel base superalloys”等。

与会代表围绕工程结构完整性评定领域的疲劳、蠕变和断裂、先进制造和连接方法、规范和标准、残余应力等议题，共在21个分会场中进行了128场会议交流报告，会场讨论气氛热烈。闭幕式上，Peter Flewitt院士和涂善东院士共同向获得“The Keith Miller Best Student Presentation Award”的学生颁奖，Eirini Galliopoulou（High temperature creep cavitation imaging and analysis in 9%Cr1%Mo P91 steels）和冯雅健（Residual stress adjustment and microstructure evolution of laser powder bed fusion austenitic stainless steel based on combined treatment of annealing and low-temperature thermochemical surface strengthening）获此殊荣。此外，会议还颁发了“The Keith Miller Best Presentation Award”和“The Best Two-Minute Pitch and Poster Presentation Award”， 获得者分别为Jessica Taylor（Case study: Fatigue crack growth under compression in a north sea oil & gas platform）、陈莹（Fracture behaviour of NCM polycrystalline particles in lithium-ion batteries under extreme conditions）和Joseph Kurebwa（Efficient thermo-mechanical modelling for residual stress prediction in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing）、康子童（Effect of overload on the cyclic response and residual life of Inconel 718 superalloy under hybrid stress-strain controlled creep-fatigue loading）。

会议召开之前，中方部分代表于5月22日参观了英国国家先进材料研究与创新中心Henry Royce Institute。

访英期间，中方部分代表于5月17-21日在英国焊接研究所（TWI）参加了2023年国际焊接学会C-XI和中国结构完整性联盟联合国际会议（2023 IIW C-XI & CSIC Joint International Symposium），由国际焊接学会压力容器锅炉和管道委员会主席吴素君教授和副主席Xing Sun博士召集，来自中国和英国的20余名专家学者参加。

此次会议是中国结构完整性联盟ISSI系列学术会议第三次在国外举办。通过本次2023年国际结构完整性学术研讨会和第十七届工程结构完整性评定国际会议，聚焦了国际学术前沿，增进了国际学术交流，推动了学术成果的转化和应用。
